The Big Myth about Iraq

Thursday, January 30, 2003 - 11:39 PM

The Red Side
Obviously a lot of us are really concerned about the threat of war in Iraq (or should I say, the massacre of Iraqi civilians by the US military machine in the form of 1500 bombing sorties in one day), so I thought some of you might be interested in some hard facts about Iraq's so-called Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) capabilities. This article is lifted from the independent news site www.medialens.org and basically quotes former chief UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter with regard to Saddam's WMD at this point. For those of you who are interested, medialens and www.zmag.org are both great sources of alternative media! Read and be enlightened!

Consumerism, value versus brand, where you fit in.

Tuesday, January 28, 2003 - 11:38 PM

The Red Side
As consumers, thats every one of us, we are faced with the choice: value or brand. Simply, it is a choice between a cheap product, or a branded product.

The response should be for value above brand. But it is not. Today the primary aim is not to create products, but to create a brand identity. The problem is obvious.

Give and take records news: Back in action

Tuesday, January 28, 2003 - 11:33 PM

Distro News
Hey hey. This is Neil.I am back from my overseas vacation and Give and take records is back in action. Thanks so much to Matt Hill (Violent screams) for running things while I was away.Anyways I am back now and things are back to normal.

While I was gone I got a parcel from Relapse records, the Pensylvania,US Hardcore/Grindcore powerhouse.I scored a really sweet deal with these guys which enables me to get their stuff for way cheap.I spotted some Relapse stuff in big stores here for R250+, whereas I have them (and will be getting more of their stuff) for less than half that.So you know where to go to get your Relapse stuff?
