PUNK ROCKING BEATS!Settling for the System
Wednesday, August 04, 2004 - 01:03 PM
Although for many of us the last four years have brilliantly demonstrated the undemocratic nature of American democracy, it seems that some radicals have missed their cues. Presented with endemic alienation as a result of the failure of American political structures, most strikingly expressed in the 2000 election, many activists have actually chosen to channel residual anger into the very system that generated it.Posted by corekop

Alternative kids are taking over the world!
Wednesday, August 04, 2004 - 08:37 AM
I was a grunge kid before such a category even existed, before the marketers identified it as niche, got the youth magazines to do features so that kids could see how to dress, like working stiffs with just the right blend of punky rebellion - and then sell those clothes to us at designer stores.Posted by Walton

The Week Ahead For The Rudimentals
Tuesday, August 03, 2004 - 07:09 AM
Things are so chaotic around here without the assistance of Amorous Armadillo, not to mention the empty hole that was left after Meerkat poisoned Armadillo’s head against this mail writer and got him to leave The Headquarters. Things are feeling very backward without him around, so instead of starting off The Rude Letter by telling you what The Rudimentals got up to last week, I’m going to tell what The Rudimentals are going to be getting up to in the week ahead.Posted by zinz

Wrench Productions - Leading you to water.
Monday, August 02, 2004 - 07:46 AM
Its not often that our punk scene has the privelage of recieving international bands. i could literally count the number of bands on one hand. Understandably the south african scene is not the biggest, or the most supportive in the world, but like the few production companies, Wrench Productions has taken the effort to to bring the world home.Posted by MiSfIt
