I was on my way home from College and just made the train. I was relaxing and dosing off because the same scenes were flashing by at the slowest speed ever. The train stopped at the Woodstock station and into the train walks this guy...he smelled of alcohol and the lack of running water. Then he looks around on the train car and sees me.

This is a statement against Good Life Recordings and it's ownership. Whadda whadda? I said “South Africa!!” Yep a place that is really unknown to many states and countries all around the world, let alone a place called Johannesburg. Many people worldwide are just too busy in their own towns to worry what goes down in other places. Well it’s our job to let you know that we do exist and that there is a punk and hardcore culture here in S.A.

Just thought i would give an update on the Latest gig i went to! It was the opening of the Revolution shop in the Zone, Rosebank. On arrival all I could see where skaters..skaters and more skaters,As there was a skate ramp! However as the day progressed..punkers arrived!

Emo is evil…well that’s what I thought anyways. I thought it was always about being depressed and feeling really bad. Curling up on the couch eating out of a tub of ice cream. Maybe it is? I’m really not too sure, I’ve always prevented myself from negative vibes, anything that keeps me from smiling I’d like to stay away, but it’s not always the case.

Firstly, let me start by saying that I’m no expert on ethics and nutrition and I don’t have all the answers. This is a much-debated subject and my personal opinions are just that. My only hope is that maybe one person out there reads this and gives it some thought.

Imagine, Korn coming to South Africa. Imagine you pay from a R100 up for a ticket. Imagine how many people will be there? But imagine you do a Show full of SA bands? I don’t think you would have half the amount of people pitching like for Korn. How can we expect our local bands to go places, if we the fans wont go places for them.

This was the last show of Aftertaste's 3 week national tour. They played to a small crowd at the Jam but this was one of the best shows I have ever seen them doing. All of them went crazy on stage, Chad was screaming his heart(and lungs) out and I thought Mike was going to play the drums to bits.
