BRACKET "Live In A Dive" (Fat Wreck Chords - FAT 602) LP/CD***The second installment in Fat Wreck's new live album series gets you some total-super punk rock throwdown from scene-leading hypermen BRACKET. Recorded live in some bar with a full-on 24-track mobile studio on hand, the band blazes through seventeen of their best songs, some of which are no longer available on record. Packaged with a booklet of original comic art-the storyline written by the band-and pressed on an enhanced-CD with interview footage and some video clips. LP packaged with the actual comic book. Rad.
YOUTH ENRAGE "Heyoca" (625 Thrashcore - 625 81) CD
***The latest from Sapporo, Japan's kings of blazing thrash insanity. Ten brand new tracks of ultra-fast hardcore obliteration, destroyed with twin guitars, crazed time changes, and out-of-control vocals. CD-ROM includes some live video footage from '99 and '01.
E.T.A. (EUROPEAN THRASH ATTACK) "We're Not the Problem" (625 Thrashcore - 625 77) CD
***A first-time-on-CD collection of the material from these Umea, Sweden thrashcore specialists. Includes all the tracks from their We're Not The Problem LP and The Racket EP, their contribution to the Barbaric Thrash Detonation comp, a track released with Destroy Zine (# 5), and two previously unreleased scorchoids. Packaged with a booklet with photos, lyrics, and line-up lists.
POISON THE WELL "Tear From The Red" (Trustkill - TK 037) CD
***The second album from Floridian metalcore dominators POISON THE WELL. A ten-track crush-all of bludgeoningly brutal metallic fury, spiced with delicate interludes, harsh bellowing, melodic singing, and jaw-breaking riffs.

Almost There Gets A Vocalist.
Friday, February 22, 2002 - 04:47 AM
Pretoria punk band,Almost There, got a new vocalist this week.Captain Crotch will now be attempting the lyrical stylings of this hardcore/melodic group. He is joining the four existing members, starvin' marvin(drums)master bassist(bass) diesel dopey(guitar)
and kiff stix(guitar). They are the process of revamping all their songs because all Captain Crotch can do is scream louder that anybody else in the band .Thats why he is singing, well kind of...(but dont tell him that .he thinks he is playing drums)

The Juliana Theory - Music From Another Room
Wednesday, February 20, 2002 - 09:23 PM
The Juliana Theory - Music From Another RoomTooth & Nail CD EP - 2001
Only God himself and gifted commercial recording marketing managers could give and accurate estimation of how many rock albums there have been from the early seventies till present day. What even defines rock music today? Would you categorise Pink Floyd and The Calling as one in the same? Rock music has developed into a lackadaisical gutter over the last thirty years where anything with a vague guitar and drum outline drifts without meaning in the cesspool of “rock musicology”.

Flat World Society
Wednesday, February 20, 2002 - 01:34 AM
WHO AND WHAT ARE FLAT WORLD SOCIETY?
Colin Campbell - Rythmn guitar
Stephen Polhman - Vox and Lead Guitar
Brent van den Berg - Bass
Paul Mathis - Drums and Vox
HOW LONG HAVE YOU GUYZ BEEN A BAND? AND HOW'D IT ALL HAPPEN?
We have always played in and out of bands together, some with different people but we finally came to playing someting we all love! well here how it all started. Stephen and I (Paul) were playing for fun in a band and we recorded one song with Darryl Torrfrom Open Room Recording Studios (at the time the place was called Zone4D studios) and the song turned out quite rad. We were playing alternative music at the time. Then we asked Brent to come play and he was cool with it. For some reason I didn't like punk rock and they have been asking me for years to play it and I kept on saying "No! It all sounds the same, the drum beats are all the same no variation, and plus its to fast!" Eventually they con-ed me into playing a Punk rock song. I loved it! It made me feel so rad inside and happy!
What a best! from there on we decided to play punk rock! one month later we asked Colin to come play with us and he did! We have been friends for most of our lives! We like brothers in Punk rock!!!!
