Something to think about

Something I found on the net. Im not an Avril fan, but the author made a few valid points, I thought so at least. Anyway give it a read.

In Defense of Avril

Uttering the name ?Avril Lavigne? in most elitist music-snob circles will provoke a response not unlike that which might result from saying the name ?George W. Bush? on the quad of a liberal arts college.

we're starting a band man, we're starting a band...

Monday, May 31, 2004 - 03:03 PM

SA News
A new band has been plucking a positive chord amongst Cape Town punk rockers, both old school and new.

THREE CHORD THEORY is a five piece, old school punk and ska band that has emerged out of the blue and completely blown the audience away with their tight, sometimes political sometimes out right hillarious, thought provoking, mosh resulting tunes. Ex-Diminished Return front man and serious duck hunter, Joe "Salt" O’Brien, is back on the scene in his rightful position as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the band.

Epic vote shot for Old Mol places Punks squarely in the lead

Friday, May 28, 2004 - 02:59 PM

Scene Reports
Old Mol received an epic vote shot! The kind of shot that invokes envy and makes us all wish we were musicians! This brings the Punk lead on the Funks to *180* vs the pitiful Funk *95* points! The Punks are definately kicking Funk ass at the moment, but all will be decided next week Friday @ Carfax. (See www.viruscorporation.co.za for details)
