Durango 95 All ages show in Cape Town

Wednesday, March 10, 2004 - 08:00 AM

Scene Reports
Well the show got off to a bad start by starting about an hour later than we had planned. The turn out for the show was also a bit disappointing but at least we managed to pay for the sound. and from this point things got better...
The first band up was The Doppler Effect who were playing their first show with their new vocalist Brett (ex-Dub Title, ex-350, ex Guz Puppy etc). They played a toit set and closed with a very impressive new song.

SAY NO TO WAR! GLOBAL DAY OF ACTION 20 MARCH

Monday, March 08, 2004 - 09:00 PM

The Red Side
Hopefully there are some of you that come to this site that actually give a ***** about the George W Bush and Tony B Liar's continued occupation of Iraq. It is a year since the invasion and the US and UK have STILL NOT found any WMD in Iraq. Saddam has been captured but it has even been stated by Colin Powell and Donald Rumsfled that he had NO links with Al-Queda.

Durango 95 All Ages in Durban

Friday, March 05, 2004 - 09:05 AM

Scene Reports
Ok sorry this took so long but I had to get pictures and almost no one had taken any.

Well as all of us know punk gigs start late and this one was no exception. I rocked up at around 8 expecting Durango to be there by 9. Unfortunately the guys had some car trouble and could only come later, furthermore the car that the drums were in had left too late and now the bands had no kit! Now, they were supposed to bring the amps and stuff too so we were pretty screwed.

The Hog Hoggidy Hogs Jozi Mini Tour Review

Friday, March 05, 2004 - 08:21 AM

Scene Reports
Friday, 30 January 2004. In the evening air the city lies hot and lazy. Dusty cars run intermittently through its bloated veins, almost like dead cells caught in the flow. You drive determinedly past rusty factories as they seem to sigh with relief at the week gone by. A sharp beam pierces your eye as the citrus evening sun lingers amidst the sultry smog.

Moneys not the objective

Thursday, March 04, 2004 - 03:00 PM

International News
I recently discovered a band called Angels heart. The bands really talented and have a vocalist who is blessed with lyrical genious, and best of all is that everything this band has to offer is totaly free and legal.Even though their is alot of money involved in studio time the band have decided to let their album be downloaded for free from (www. angelsheartrock.com) because they believe that, thats what music should be.You can also order a band shirt and have the album sent with for free.A kick ass band who have stuck to their punk ethos.
