hello everybody out there. tonight i played a gig at the wanderers club in durban, it was a pretty cool night. the whole event is called the folk club but you can play whatever ***** you want and get lots of support. i have been asked to come back and perform but now i need a band so uh if anyones interested...wendy if you still wanna jam?

Skaladdin

On the 11th of October Mr. Smug are playing with a band from Switzerland. There name is Skaladdin and the show promises to be good.They are brought to SA by Revolution record and are playing a host of gigs in Jhb, Durban and Capetown. They are a nine piece band and play Ska style, like the Mighty Mighty Bostons.They have played with a host of international bands like Reel Big Fish and our own Fuzi.So lets get out there and show them our support.

I went there not happy knowing Fuzi would be flanked by adoring yet trendy fans and I would leave feeling like Ive been let down sold out... I was right there were trendy fans but I was so ***** wrong to.

free demo recordings

hey guys
if anyone is interested or is part of a band that wants to record an album, and if u dont have the money to record i can help get u free recordings.
usually you'd have to pay about 50 bucks or even more per song to go on an album
a girl i know will get hold of a recording venue, just let me/her know about a month or so in advance and we should be able to organise everything for you

The Doppler Effect - In Search of a new Vocalist

The Doppler Effect, the new Cape Town based punk/hardcore band is looking for a new vocalist. Our vocalist Marc will be going back to resume his service with his former band at the end of October, which leaves us with no vocalist from then on. We have already struck a deal with the new Cape Town alternative label Maiden League Records and we are looking to purge on with our rise up in the South African music scene.

Stretch Armstrong, Rancid - Brixton Academy,London

So this would be my first punk show in the UK and pretty cool that it would turn out to be my favourite band of time-Rancid.So yeah,met up with my friend Vince at Victoria and went to the Brixton Academy.The show started at 7 and we o­nly got in at about 8 so we missed the first band and I have no idea who they were but it was okay.The Academy is an old theatre,I think it has a capacity of about 3000-4000 people and it was sold out.Really rocking venue.So we got some beers and went in to watch Stretch Armstrong.
