Punk guitarist Johnny Ramone dies

Johnny Ramone had battled cancer for five years.
Johnny Ramone, guitarist in punk band The Ramones, has died at the age of 55 following a long fight against cancer.
He passed away at his Los Angeles home on Wednesday, surrounded by friends and family, said the band's artistic director Arturo Vega.

Finally! After a couple of name changes we decided to go with the name "murder call records". Its been 4 months in the making. We are still in the beginning stages of the label. We gonna take it very slow. We have signed EmokidJosh. We are looking at another band at the moment. So yeah...thats about it...no bullshit here. Reports are beginning to circulate that the recently reunited Pixies may be planning to record a new full-length in the near future, with a release possibly coming as soon as 2005.

Hey boys and girls! At the moment I am trying to let South African bands be reviewed in the METALHAMMER, KERRANG, ROCKSOUND and TERRORISER magazines. As you all know it is very difficult for bands to survive in the good old SA. So what I am trying now is to set up relations between SA and these magazines.

Role model records are looking for 20 bands who want to be part of a charity compilation. We are looking for metalcore, emo, ska, old school punk, screamo, hardcore, ex in the whole of South Africa. The profit of this disc will be given to a rape crisis centre. The bands do not need to pay to be on this compilation.
